On August 9th, 2008, Vancouver BC, the 2008 Fitness & Figure Championships took place at the Massey Theatre in Westminster. Jean & I flew on Thursday, Aug 7th and came home on Monday, Aug 11th. We enjoyed this experience but decided that with my structure and tiny frame, I would not be capable of competing against the more muscular and wider girls that were on stage. Instead...rather, I chose to retire from Figure and promote Figure Workshops to help and assist other girls in contest prep, diets, training and advice. I also co-promote with my husband Jean, the Atlantic Classic 2009 Fitness & Figure Championships to be held on April 11th, 2009.

It is so wonderful to see women in body building. I think that women need to feel empowered and realize that we can do more than what we are expected to do. I am proud of your accomplishments and your example.
